The plot of Redeeming Love might not seem like the stuff of Christian fiction until you realize that it is actually a re-telling of the biblical account of Hosea. In Francine Rivers' beautifully written tale we read the story of Angel, a young woman who was sold into prostitution as a child, and Michael Hosea, a devout Christian who obeys God's call to marry her and soften her heart of stone. Angel doubts her worth and doesn't believe that anyone could offer her anything without expecting something in return, and Michael gently, persistently and faithfully helps her to believe in his love for her. However, the road to redemption is not easy for Angel. Ultimately, she has to seek God for herself and see her worth through His eyes before she can find happiness. Heartbreaking and haunting, compelling and inspirational, this novel deftly and movingly portrays a broken "soiled dove's" salvation through God's Redeeming Love.

I agree with your review! Redeeming Love is an AMAZING book. I read it last year based on a friend's recommendation. Francine Rivers brought such light to God's unfailing, unwavering, constant love. It truly is a must read. Good News too, you can check it out at the public library.
